Does Paint Craft offer a money-back guarantee?
Not happy with your paid artwork? Within 30 days of purchase, choose a refund or one free recreation of the same photo. Contact Support with your order reference and your preferred option. Requests are handled manually. Hint packs and third-party printing are excluded; your statutory rights are unaffected.
Can I turn personal photos into gifts or framed prints?
Yes. Use photos you have permission to use, create artwork, and purchase the digital files you want to download. You can use finished artwork as wallpaper or have it printed locally. Printing, framing and shipping are not included. Our gifting stories are illustrative ideas, not customer reviews.
What is included in a Masterpiece?
A printable numbered canvas PDF, automatically completed digital artwork PNG at 4,000px on its longest edge, and a paint-colour list PDF. The list includes matching numbers, swatches, colour names and hex codes, not brand-specific paint codes. Secure download links are emailed after captured payment.
Is Masterpiece hand-painted or a physical kit?
No. Masterpiece is automatically generated digital artwork. Printing, physical paints, canvas, shipping and hand-painting are not included. Print locally and choose supplies to suit your budget; we do not guarantee a total physical-material cost.
What if my delivery email does not arrive?
Sign in with your purchase email and open My Masterpieces from your account. Paid files are available there. Check spam, then use Retry email or contact support with the order reference. Do not pay again for the same order.
Are my older paintings still available?
Yes. Existing saved paintings remain accessible in the same browser, including canvases made with older difficulty settings.

Do I need to create an account?
Easy online painting needs no account. Exports require sign-in and a separate payment for each file. Masterpiece packages, email delivery and secure downloads belong to your account.
How do I turn a photo into paint by numbers?
Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP, crop it, then choose Easy or Masterpiece. Easy opens in the painting studio. Masterpiece prepares a digital package, then takes you to one-time checkout and email delivery.

Which image formats are accepted?
Paint Craft accepts JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WebP images.
Can I use my own photos?
Yes. You can upload any photo from your device — family photos, pet portraits, landscapes, selfies, children's drawings, or any other image.
What makes a good photo for paint by numbers?
Photos with a clear subject, good lighting, and moderate contrast work best. Avoid photos with very busy backgrounds, low resolution, or heavy shadows, as these can produce overly complex canvases.
What aspect ratios are available?
You can keep the original aspect ratio or choose from Square, 4:5, 3:4, and 16:9.
Colours & Difficulty
How many colours can I choose?
There are two modes. Easy uses 10–50 colours and simpler regions. Masterpiece uses our highest-detail preset with up to 255 colours and a current region target of about 6,000. Actual counts depend on the source photo; regions and colours are different measurements.
How does difficulty affect the result?
Easy favours fewer colours and larger regions for relaxed painting. Masterpiece preserves finer details for pro artists and is automatically completed as a digital artwork, alongside a numbered canvas for painting physically.
How does image complexity affect the result?
Photos with many fine details (fur, foliage, crowds) produce more regions and more complex canvases. For simpler results, choose a photo with a clear subject and plain background, or use a lower colour count.
Painting Online
Can I paint online?
Yes. After generating your canvas, click Start Painting to open the interactive studio. Tap or click regions to fill them with colour.
What painting tools does the studio have?
The studio fills each numbered region with a smooth digital brush and includes undo/redo, zoom and pan, region highlighting, and hints to help you find the next area to paint.
Is the tool suitable for beginners?
Yes. Easy mode creates simple canvases with large, clearly numbered regions. The painting tools include hints, undo/redo, and region highlighting to help you stay on track.
Can children use it?
Yes. With Easy mode set to 10–15 colours for larger regions, children can paint online with the digital brush or use printed canvases with real art supplies.
Exporting & Printing
Which export formats are available?
Each Easy export requires sign-in and a separate payment. Free hints, bonus credits and hint purchases do not unlock exports. Choose from three paid export formats: vector PDF (with a numbered canvas and colour guide), SVG (scalable vector graphics), and high-resolution PNG.
Can I print my canvas at home?
Yes, after purchasing the export you want to print. Export your canvas as a PDF and print it on regular paper, card stock, or canvas paper. The PDF includes the numbered outline and a separate colour guide page.
How do I get the best printable result?
Use your purchased finished PNG for framed artwork or the numbered PDF for hand-painting. Preserve the aspect ratio and check the print preview for cropping. Use Fit to printable area when the PDF and paper sizes differ; use Actual size only when they match. Check your printer’s paper-weight limit and make a test print. Printing instructions are included in artwork-delivery emails.
Technical
Where is my photo processed?
Easy conversion runs in your browser. Masterpiece preparation runs on our servers, with private files stored for account downloads and email delivery.
Where are my paintings saved?
Easy paintings and older saved canvases remain in browser storage on the same device. Paid Masterpiece packages are stored securely and can be downloaded from My Masterpieces after signing in.
How do I resolve an upload problem?
Ensure your image is a JPG, PNG, or WebP file. Try a different browser if the upload does not work. Large images (over 20MP) may take longer to process. If problems persist, try cropping or resizing your photo before uploading.
